US Transborder: Desjardins Odyssey Lounge by Plaza Premium (Gate 81). Three Canadian credit cards include Priority Pass — the Amex Platinum, Business Platinum, and Scotiabank Platinum Amex. Five lounges, three zones. For a Montreal-based traveller with Priority Pass, this is actually one of the richest Canadian airports — most other Canadian hubs offer only 2–3 Priority Pass options.

Which Canadian cards include Priority Pass

Priority Pass is Amex-only in Canada. Three cards include visits:

  • American Express Platinum ($799) — Priority Pass Select with one guest included, unlimited through December 31, 2026, capped at 6 visits per year from January 1, 2027 unless $20,000 spent on the account.
  • Business Platinum from Amex ($799) — same Priority Pass terms as the personal Platinum.
  • Scotiabank Platinum American Express ($399) — 10 Priority Pass visits per year for the primary cardholder, 4 for a supplementary. No foreign transaction fee.

Every Visa and Mastercard premium card in Canada — including the Scotiabank Passport VI, TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege, CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege, RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege — uses DragonPass (Visa Airport Companion or Mastercard Travel Pass) instead. DragonPass is accepted at the same five YUL lounges as Priority Pass (with the same AF-KLM window exclusion), but with 4 to 6 pool visits a year rather than 10 or unlimited.

The Amex Aeroplan Reserve ($599) includes a Priority Pass membership with the fee waived — but every visit is billed at the prevailing rate (about US$35) for the cardholder and any guests. Treat it as pay-per-visit access, not "free Priority Pass."

Pre-booking a Priority Pass seat at YUL

Priority Pass's pre-book feature lets you reserve a seat at specific lounges for a small fee. At YUL, as of October 13, 2026, pre-booking is available at:

  • Aspire American Express Lounge (Gates 1–2, Domestic)
  • National Bank Lounge (temporary space — availability varies while renovation runs)

The pre-book list changes — check the Priority Pass app or priority-pass pre-book page for current coverage. A reserved seat is one a full lounge cannot refuse, which matters most during busy evening international banks (6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and the morning domestic rush (05:30 – 08:00).
